It's just so messed up. Had to use a different door to get into the subway train today because a homeless was bugging out dancing when the doors opened up. I'd vote for reinstating mental institutions. I feel like problems got exasperated/were correlated when they closed when I look at the statistics.

“Mr. Eugene Watts, you have five minutes to leave,” one of two passing Amtrak cops on patrol at the busy transit hub was heard telling Watts on Thursday. “There is a warrant out for your arrest.”

Watts fired back: “Kiss my black ass. I’d rather go to jail. I can get an apartment.”

The cops simply walked on.

De Blasio has turned the city into an open mental ward where anything is allowed & things are rarely enforced. It’s called civic apathy.

Let me break this down for some of you like a fraction; in case you're ignorant of fact tons of people are stuffing themselves on city/state dollars and homeless assistance contracts.

Heads of these non profits on down are getting nice fat paychecks for doing not a GD thing basically. Audits prove it, but since Albany and city hall like to grease people's palms with taxpayer money, nothing is done. That is unless someone in media makes a big enough stink, and or something really bad happens/is uncovered.

Sam the Eagle and his missus have never explained where all those millions went he gave her for that sketchy homeless program. Nor will we ever likely find out either.

it's terrible that in America people wind up like this. it's horrifying that the laws that be
don't get a forklift and scrape & FORCE these MENTALLY DISTURBED people off the streets.

instead of enacting a law like that (housing these loooooooooooooooooooooooons) - they
went and enacted a law that lets nutjobs [like them] to feel it's OK to pounce on people and
to use busy public places as a toilet--and make it so that people can't even come and go with
pleasure anymore (peeeeeeeeeeeeeee-ewww) when you step onto a subway car -- that IS
the new frucking norm
-- now you LOOK AROUND, sniff & stare ( is the coast clear)? pathetic...

give me a break.

Meh

You act like Port Authority was a pleasant place at one point in time. In my lifetime it never has been. Maybe in yours I guess.
