Manhattan has two genetically distinguishable groups of rats: the uptown rats and the downtown rats, separated by the geographic barrier that is midtown. Since rats tend to move only a few blocks in their lifetimes, the uptown rats and downtown rats don’t mix much.

The downtown rats are no doubt the racist rats. And WTF is this dude spending $32 million on? What about the queens and Brooklyn rats? Give me $10million and I will eliminate those rats and still have change.

Just like the posh Fifth Avenue millionaires don't mix much with people in Harlem tenements?

This study was from a few years ago. The linked article is from 2017 and I think there was already a post about it on this forum. We know the main guy who did the study for his graduate project. It's old news already, but the results were interesting. Their methodology was pretty gross for the graduate students. He's already moved on from Fordham.
