I googled about this and found an article published in the NIH's medical library website;

Ibuprofen and other widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs inhibit antibody production in human cells.

The introduction includes this:

The implications of this research are that the use of widely available NSAIDs after infection or vaccination may lower host defense. This may be especially true for the elderly who respond poorly to vaccines and heavily use NSAIDs.

Los Angeles Times:

There’s no good reason to avoid ibuprofen if you’re infected with the coronavirus

First, some facts: The over-the-counter pain reliever ibuprofen is not linked to a higher risk of COVID-19 infection. Nor has it been linked to complications in those infected with the novel coronavirus that has now reached 164 countries. When treating pain or a fever, you may choose ibuprofen (such as Advil or Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) without needing to worry that your decision has any bearing on the disease at the center of the pandemic.

And now, the reason for using this space to dispense those bland morsels of coronavirus non-news: A messaged tweeted Saturday by France’s minister of Solidarity and Health warning that ibuprofen, an anti-inflammatory drug, “could be an aggravating factor” in COVID-19 infection. (So could the steroid medication cortisone, the tweet said.)...

“More research is needed to evaluate reports that ibruprofen may affect the course of COVID-19,” the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases said in an emailed response. “Currently, there is no evidence that ibuprofen increases the risk of serious complications or of acquiring the virus that causes COVID-19.”

Driving home the point, the U.S. institute’s statement noted: “There is also no conclusive evidence that taking ibuprofen is harmful for other respiratory infections” either.

University of Nebraska infectious disease specialist Dr. Andre Kalil called it “crazy” to toss unsupported medical advice into a cauldron of worldwide anxiety.

“There is no clinical data and there are no studies in humans showing that ibuprofen or paracetamol are harmful or beneficial” in those with COVID-19 infection, Kalil said in an interview Tuesday. “Absolutely none.”

I have a bunch of dry beans, but some canned as well. I also generally keep some condensed soup at home—got some New England clam chowder recently.

Oh, and Spam. I use it for fried rice pretty often. Rice is good, because if you cook a large batch and don’t use it all, then the leftover rice is good for congee or fried rice at a later meal.

I'm not really buying a lot of canned goods. I'm fortunate that there are a lot of grocery stores within walking distance from where my mom lives. (I'm at her place currently to help her recover from surgery). So, I've been buying fresh produce (eggplant, bananas, carrots, sweet potatoes that supposedly boost your immune system) and rice, pasta. I'm going to do a run now.

The cashiers all have masks on. Some even have goggles on. And gloves.

I've seen stores selling hats with a clear visor that goes across the front of your face. I'm considering buying those in case I run out of masks. Fashion is out the window in times like these. You could wear a full on gas mask now and people won't pay you any attention.

I bought a bunch of frozen meals but I don't generally buy many canned goods.

Get ready to shelter in place. De Blasio said again this morning that he's for it and he'll talk to Cuomo later this afternoon to discuss. Cuomo is as of now, dead set against it. Stay tuned.

I don't see how it's much different from now. Stay at home, only go out for essentials. What's different about what they put in place the other day?
