Is the MTA putting in all the construction work now while there is little ridership instead waiting for when riders comes back and then inconvenience everyone at that time?

China just had 6 new cases according to world meter. China is full of it. However the virus was able to spread globally thanks to chinese new years which is the largest migration of people anywhere on earth.

I had two coworkers who had planned to travel to China months ago but couldn't cause the hotels closed there. There disappointed turned to joy.

We need the MTA's to function efficiently for essential workers who rely on it to get to/from work, or make field visits. Making mta signal upgrades at this time is probably less essential.
I'm still here. I still believe that. We're being forced to commit economic suicide in the name of a plan that has very little chance of working. Short of a vaccine the only way to get past this if for everyone to get it and get immunity. Cuomo's plan drags that out from weeks to months (maybe years.)
How long are YOU willing to put up with this? If this doesn't show results in two or three week, people will get sick of being locked in and will rebel, Cuomo be damned.

As a former NYer who was a first responder to the 9/11 event my heart and prayers goes out to y’all. This Chinese virus has implications which dwarf what I went through. 9/11 was a big part of my decision to leave NYC for a safer place. This confirms that I made the right decision.
