Pay extra why, because it's a nice gesture? Nurses & doctors are already highly paid, and making substantially more overtime already. That's one reason health insurance is so expensive, among other things.
Hazard is already part of the job, it's what they signed up for. Not to mention the state is broke and needs to allocate resources to keep things running
Nurses and doctors are not the only healthcare workers that exist genius. People are putting their lives at risk day in day out for salaries that do not pay enough for them to live in this city. Yet they're supposed to die for it?
what about grocery workers? they are risking their lives for the minumum wage. if they refuse to work, no one can get food. maybe they should raise the food price to pay extra to these workers
If they can stay home forever without having to work, I say more power to them. However, we know most people eventually has to go back to work, if not for income then for some purpose to their lives. People were not meant to stay idle forever. People need to do things with their lives.
Oh and the grocery workers need to buy food too. Food does not magically appear in their apartments.
actually a lot of grocery stores have to be shut because a lot of the workers decided not to show up for work. That's a big problem, because people have to wait in long lines, and crowd the stores that remain open
THe compensation has to rise to a level that is commensurate with the risk.

Ok genius, so paying them more will make them not die? Am I getting that right
