Also, there were fewer cars. Through the 1970's and into some of the 1980's I could drive my CHevvy Impala into New York and always be sure of finding an easy parking space.
Into the mid-1980s I'd take my Chevy Malibu into Manhattan and always found parking for it around Broadway in Greenwich Village.
Yes! Especially now when cars are parked forever (no alternate side parking and no work to go to). Parking is already bad, no need to take up more than one "space"
Gee whiz I went for a walk and see some cars parked like 5 feet from the other car in front or behind them. Up and down the block as a result three or four cars can't get a spot because of this inconsideration
