Section 8 Landlord seeking assitance!!!! (rent, home, tenant)

My mother is currently tenting her home in Queens to a woman and he 3 children via section 8. However, she wishes to reoccupy her property but doesn't want to evict the tenant, as she has kept the property in stellar condition and pays her portion of the rent as agreed. The tenant has received a "moving voucher" from section 8 (I have a vague understanding of what this is) and has been provided with a list of properties throughout Queens excepting section 8. Also, I have personally handed her countless ad's (from Craigslist) but it doesn't seem as if she will move unless she finds the absolute perfect place. Granted, most places require payment of a broker's fee (which she didn't have the money for until recently) but my mother has wanted to reoccupy her home for over a year. Being I'm not the landlord, section 8 wasn't accomodating when I called their office for assitance. Then again they may have done all that is required by providing the moving voucher-- I'm not sure... Besides eviction, what are our other options?

You MOTHER (not you) needs to have a meeting with her tenant. In the meeting, your mother needs to tell the tenant she wishes to recoccupy her property and the tenant must move out within 60 days. Your mother needs to have this agreement IN WRITING and signed/dated by the tenant.

The only reason I say 60 days and not 30 is because your mother's tenant has 3 kids and has been a great tenant. It's not easy to find decent/affordable housing, especially when you have children.
