There's still a shortage of paper towel and toilet paper too because people are still hoarding the stuff.
Yet. I like Scott tissue, and no other brand. I hate the fluffy soft stuff, and, it clogs my toilet. I've had to use other brands and I hate them. Now I noticed, they clog my toilet if I am not careful. I would be really happy to find a 12 pack of Scotty now. It could be worse. I could have no toilet paper, or a cold water only, bidet.
I wear a mask if I am leaving the radius of my building. I don't wear a mask to do laundry in my building, to get the mail, or to run laps in our private yard outside.
Are you talking about people outside or inside? I personally do not wear a mask outside because unless a person is right next to you coughing or sneezing, the air movement outside will pretty disperse or blow away any viruses that may be in the air from someone’s coughs/sneezes.
Inside, it is definitely a good idea to use a mask.
I just meant in general anywhere where you're standing/walking/running close to anyone.
Try this next time you don't see someone with a mask. Just start having a random coughing fit and after you finish say "I don't have Covid19. It's just a random cough! Take care!"
yeah I know right, but i'm thinking why must it come to that for people to think they should just do something for the common good of everyone around them? I don't get it
Since you are talking about masks specifically and not face coverings - first of all, the masks are still not readily available for purchase , and where they are , often at a marked up price. Price gouging is everywhere. Many people may not have resources to buy, let alone find them.
Also we know now from antibody samples that at least 20% had covid19 in nyc which makes the death rate abysmally low. How is it not like flu??
I said masks but yeah i basically meant a mask, a scarf, a tshirt, whatever, just show you get that doing something that we know will help prevent the spread to those around you in your community helps
Maybe it's because they can't find one to buy. We happened to have a few laying around, but getting more is almost impossible. If it bothers you so much, why don't you carry some extras and offer it to them, as a good samaritan.
Well wear a tshirt then, it doens't have to be a mask, and i definitely don't think it should be an n95 as frontline workers need those. I saw people doing this and it simply shows people are WILLING to TRY and help contain spread from those they encounter. That's good community spirit and shows willing, that's what i don't get.
The people who care the most about this mask nonsense are rich old people who are scared to death about an indiscriminate, unsentinent virus that'll have them dead in 5 days. They have absolutely zero care for anyone else's well being
But, people are free to choose how and what they do with themselves. If they dont want to wear a mask you're not going to force them to. Think of something along the lines of #MyBodyMyChoice
You only want to "protect others" because it actually jist protects you. You dont really care
Chris Cuomo is out in the Hamptoms with his fake quarantine basement theatrics.
Andrew Cuomos daughter is out taking attention seeking pictures "improperly" wearing a mask.
Sarah Jessica parker is out shopping with no mask or gloves.
Trump's daughter is out flying around on a jet.
De blasio has never wore a mask.
People are jogging right now(1:10 pm) in central park, 6 deep on 60th and 8th Avenue with no masks, sweating balls. There are half naked men and women sitting by the rocks.
WHY ARENT YOU/krosfyah WEARING A HAZMAT SUIT. That's the real way to protect others.
WHY ARE LIQUOR STORES OPEN ? Nobody can answer this question. There is absolutely no reason to have a liquor store open in "omg pandemic virus crisis" times.
uhhh ok, i don't recall trying to force anyone to do anything? Weird approach.
This isn't about my body my choice, it's about trying to willingly do your bit to help the greater good. You're comparing apples to oranges my friend, and don't try to tell me what you think my intent is - you are not me and you will see the world through your own skewed lens. Wearing a hazmat suit is a disingenuous throwaway nonsensical statement, i'm doing what i can with the resources i have but if i can't afford a mask i'm wearing a scarf. What are you doing to protect your fellow NY'er?
And YES - people jogging in central park as well as observing what i was seeing in my own neighborhood was precisely the reason i posted this in the first place.
