Apparently a lot of them tested positive for antibodies, more than the city average.

It is over run with them. 11211 is Williamsburg. Most of Williamsburg is quite affluent -- and most of the affluent communities have low numbers. One of the parts of 11211 that is not affluent is the section with all the Orthodox Jews. I suspect the numbers are high in Williamsburg because of them, not because of the affluent white people who live in the rest of Williamsburg.

The red section in Brooklyn that's on the water and is close to the word "New York" is Williamsburg. Red means high numbers.

There are going to be those who dont like to follow the rules. I wear mine masks to be respectful of others and many businesses wont let you in without one. Now that its getting hot its been harder for me to breath wearing a mask.

I had a mask on today and it was very humid. A mask will not be something to have on your face in June

“There is not a single Hasidic family that has been untouched,†said Mr. Leifer, 34. “It is a plague on a biblical scale.â€

unlike a cloth face mask, an N95 dust mask which was ordinary sold in hardware stores for less than $1.50 is the same N95 mask used in ICU's for infectious diseases. It is highly effective in keeping out pathogens if well fitted.
Theoretically you could get it through your eyes but that it has not been proven yet how common that is.
A cloth mask is also better than nothing and if you were the symptomatic one it could greatly reduce reduce the projection distance of a sneeze or cough.
People Asian countries have no stigma about wearing masks, in Japan it's even seen as fashionable.
But many people here see it as un-American and cowardly

If you are willing to roll the dice this year, than so be it. However, if the experts are correct. When winter comes this year, the 2nd wave will kill much more people. It's already known that people who recovered from COVID19 can get sick again. Virus can stay dormant in the body when it can't replicate successfully. Once your body weakens during the winter it can come back. What I am worried about is the perfect storm this winter. The amount of people who recovered and will get sick again, the 2nd time it maybe fatal if people can't get medical attention in time. It is best to wait for the vaccines to be available by next year this time.
