Not surprised. I guess maybe he is showing us staying home all day is no longer necessary? Or is he just showing us that he can do as he pleases?
How many people died in NYC under his watch during this whole thing again? But he just walks around smugly like it's not his fault.
Bill de Blasio, Chirlane McCray stroll through Prospect Park amid coronavirus
April 27, 2020 | 10:58am
Mayor Bill de Blasio and wife Chirlane McCray didn’t let coronavirus stop them from traveling 11 miles from Manhattan to Brooklyn’s Prospect Park for a leisurely stroll — eliciting outrage from New Yorkers, online video shows.
“Seriously, you guys have a park. You live in the middle of a park. You don’t need to non-essentially travel to Brooklyn,” Twitter user Darren Goldner says, referencing Carl Schurz Park near Gracie Mansion, in a clip posted to Twitter Saturday.
Hizzoner responds, “C’mon guys give it a break,” as he and the first lady continue to walk away.
“I’m not going to give it a break. This is selfish behavior,” Goldner shouts to the backs of the mayor and McCray. “This is so terribly selfish. You call yourself a progressive, but you chauffeur yourself to Brooklyn. You force people to drive you.”
I guess my sarcasm didn't come thru. I know we are free to walk around. But listening to these officials they make it seem like you have to stay locked down forever.
Next time i'll be sure to note my sarcasm somehow.
Also, wasn't he yammering about all the damage we were doing to the environment all the while driving around in a gas guzzler and when called out on it got all hot and testy.
Cameraman needs to lay off the soy. My ex-wife had a deeper voice than him...
