People need to stop kidding themselves they can afford to live or even be in NYC. That would solve much of the so called "homeless" issue straight off.
So then how can anyone blame the mayor for the homeless issue if you're saying he's doing the exact same thing as mayors of the past...
You won't really understand because you don't keep a 9-5 anymore
All these homeless people on the train have always been there, they're just way more noticeable now, duhh ridership is down 90%
Past 40 years, all homelessness did was overall go up
I think it's more like you wont understand because you keep a 9-5. If the trains are packed then you will see less homeless people. During other hours the train is still busy but their is room for the homeless to set up camp.

Oh so as long as we don't see them its all good

Don't know about anyone else or whatever, but am loving the "Q" train lately. Yes, there are homeless and the subway still resembles Daytop or Creedmoor waiting room, but the trains are flying! *LOL*
Had to go down to Tribeca other day and was amazed how we flew down tracks. Southbound "Q" trains aren't held at Times Square, nor to they sit and wait for a "R" train to arrive across the tracks. In fact train is pulling into station but "Q" shuts doors and takes off.
Think they are allowing trains to go faster because at end of run before turning around things are hosed/wiped/mopped down. When get on at 86th floors are still wet from being mopped with disinfectant.
Lots of homeless still on platforms though. Some plugged into free charging stations, others sleeping or whatever on benches/ground.

I'm done with MTA until the actually do something about the homeless for real. I'm not wasting my money. I have no problem continuing to walk everywhere. Took a 16 mile walk the other day to run my errands.
Sadly with the crowds increasing so is the litter onboard the trains and platforms although by the morning it’s all clean .
