Hello everyone,

I just moved to NYC and I'm trying to create a Manhattan neighborhood map for personal interest. I understand that many neighborhoods overlap each other, but I'm still curious about some "disputed areas":

1) Lower East Side or Bowery or Chinatown?

2) Greenwich Village or East Village or NoHo?

3) Union Square or Flatiron District?

4) Murray Hill or Kips Bay or NoMad?

5) Murray Hill or Garment District or Koreatown?

6) Completely no idea...

Thanks for your thoughts!

#2 is the East Village. Broadway is the boundary between East and West Villages.
#3 is Flatiron, west of Fifth Ave. East of Fifth I suppose you could call it part of Union Sq.

Murray Hill is east; Garment District is west.

If you mean the white area, I'd call the first one the lower east side.

# 1 is definitely the LES. Haven't heard Bowery used as a neighborhood, it is just a north-south street.
