Like it or hate it the following is only my opinion:

The House passes $3 trillion dollar relief package.
At approximately 11:30 AM today spoke to the public that the
Senate needs to pass this proposal. He states that the Senate has
helped out the millionaires and now its time to help out the people.
He states that this would hurt school teachers and other city workers.

Every entitled American Citizen have already received a stimulus check
to help them through this adversity. Many are and complaining how this
will only hurt future generations that will have be stuck with the burden
( let's call it a tab ) to pay it off. If only money grew on trees.

The House of Representatives narrowly passed this bill 208 to 199.
Half the House was against this proposal. Don't expect the Senate
to see different. Stop politicizing it as Republicans will be at fault if
it does not pass. New York City is in dire straights due to its' own ineptness.
Politicos chose to give out free cheese with zero return on the dollar.
Politicos chose to raise taxes on everything the working class touches.
Poor decisions. Poor investments.Working class have had enough and leaving.
The millionaires and poor are left behind. I guess this is how hi-tech cities operate.
The city was billions in the hole going into the quarter before adversity struck
which exposed the politicians for what they are ...........Big Spenders.
Rather than have an adequate slush fund prepared in the event of disaster
they have to stoop to shaming the Feds into handing them a Bailout to put them
back in the Black........Truly a sad day for New Yorkers. Your tax money errrr...
debit.............. at work. You get what you vote for..................

What is your opinion?
Curious minds would like to know.........

Agree in full, OP.

This bill is a ruse to mask the overspending of years past with covid relief.

Senate, I applaud, for not voting on it.

In an election year, you can typically get politicians to do some things that they normally wouldn't. But--and leaving out for a second that the bill also includes loony protections against deportation for some illegal aliens, bailouts for irresponsible largely blue states, mass voting by mail, and other things (in short, all non-starters for the GOP, bso the bill can hardly be said to be a serious effort by Dems and Cuomo pushing for its passage, thus, shows that he is behaving like a partisan)--given that most of the state financial budgetary pain is being felt by solidly blue states, their cries are going to be ignored.

And I say good. We should not be backing out states for their financial mismanagement. And especially not with a blank check with zero protections against coming into such a situation a few years down the line as these states wouldn't voluntarily change course with their over generous public employee benefits packages.
