I saw that story and was stunned. Anything could have happened to that girl. And it sounds like the girl actually has a father who wants to have her in his life (who knows if true or not). The mother and stepfather are just evil.

Courts always give mothers custody, for some reason.

It's definitely a heavy bias unless the mother shows up at the custody hearing with a bong and asks the judge for a light

This article says the mother didn't have legal custody of the child. For some reason, the child was still with her though.

In this circumstance I can't see the mother ever getting custody. Fingers crossed that the father is a competent parent and will provide the love and support this child needs to succeed in life. Nobody deserves this sort of evil treatment let alone from one of their parents

Yea, and I hope the mother one day comes to realize just how heinous her actions were.

The Father will finally get custody........Let's hope the father can give the child a loving home.
