Just imagine the idea of Amazon and Google owned bars and restaurants, that sounds terrible. Hopefully Cuomo has at least an ounce of respect for businsess in him so he can start opening up bars and dine in restaurants by next month.
What liberals were totally fine with small businesses dying forever?

Just because they're pro lockdown doesn't mean they're ok with small businesses dying forever. You think if the lockdown was lifted at an earlier date the situation would be drastically different?

I really don't understand why everything is so partisan during this pandemic.

.
I do think many of the 100k survive a shorter lockdown, as they would have had some revenue.

No revenue 2 plus months is asking them to close permanently.

Well if you aren't smart enough to realize a lockdown of 3 plus months will kill small businesses, then heck I don't now what to say.

And yes I do believe as Bob said above, a month may have been sustainable for many small businesses. Clearly not ideal but do able.

3 plus months lockdown? Get your facts straight.

And the lockdown is a classic Hobson's choice.

Choice made by Cuomo.

Businesses and massive amount of jobs gone. Permanently.

That's the result.

I've argued with some about this. They either say that the lives saved are worth the businesses failing, or that we need a socialist government who can pay the businesses to stay closed.

Instead of blaming Trump for letting the pandemic escalate, you chose to blame Cuomo for implementing a lockdown done in multiple states? Your anger is misplaced and irrational.
