Excuse my ramblings in advance...

We've often heard of the term "the democratic party is dying" and at least half of this country would agree. I was in that camp but am calling the direct opposite. Democrats will dominate this city, state and country for a long, long time into the foreseeable future. They have been losing the black vote, fighting; but losing the illegal vote, fighting for mail in fraud votes, pushing away anyone who isn't a sjw leftist, leaving behind anyone who hovers around the center. They have struggled to say the least because many Americans have opened their eyes. Struggled up until now.

Our politicians are forcing a massive amount of the population to be dependent upon government, all the while stripping away little by little at the people's rights. Socialism 101 is currently in session in the United States. Who would have thought that Trump of all people would be the one leading the cause? Ironic, to say the least. Class has been in session for a long, long time in this city. The rest of the state and the rest of the country will follow NYC's model. All this "free" stuff isn't free. It is gladly provided by the fed and federal government and the cities and states are down to play ball for as long as possible, moving the goalposts towards reopening every chance they get. They are destroying the economy on purpose to make us dependent. Individualism is dying by the day. Even those doing the right thing regarding personal finance are going to get slammed. This trend will continue till at the very least November 4th. Democrats are salivating at this destruction under Trump. They are hoping and praying for a second wave, for a second great depression.

One could argue for some of the decisions (social distancing as an example) as valid in a place like NYC, but all one has to do is look elsewhere in the country to see what's really going on. Places like rural Maine on complete lockdown...for what exactly? To protect the log roads from corona?

Unemployment + $600, PPP, student loans, credit cards, rentals, mortgages, forbearance, food, car loans, crime, bankruptcies, shocks in ever industry across the board. List goes on and on regarding the failing of main street. All the while stocks continue to bounce higher and higher. I honestly thought 9/11 was going to be the defining moment of my lifetime. Boy, was I wrong! We are witnessing the greatest flow of wealth towards the rich from the rest of us in the history of this country. Never thought I'd be spewing leftist "nonsense" like that myself but it's completely true. The can has been kicked down the road for decades. Where does the road end?

There's plenty more to add on this subject. I'll spare myself by writing a novel and am interested in your thoughts in general but more specifically on the future of the democratic party at the local, state and federal level.

Don't care, don't vote on party lines. Hope we get some decent candidates in the future. Nobody I voted for is serving office right now.

This is not a NYC topic. Take it to P&OC.
