Liberals probably like the optics of cities boarded up before the election. If Biden wins, it will all go away including the lockdown nonsense.
basically if the BLM mob shows up then you have some protection. Not that they won't rip down the plywood, because they've been doing that all week long, but if you're the only glass window on the block guess who's getting the display kicked in first
I live in the area. My building management notified the tenants that protest was expected today. The were supposed to march from the Bourough House to McDonald Park, then go to the police precinct. Not sure if that happened, as I am definitely not going out. So boarding the store windows is a good idea.
I drove past the Americana Mall in Manhasset and they were all boarded up. A lot of high end stores but access is somewhat limited and there’s no foot traffic in the area but I guess they aren’t taking any chances.
