I know people in the 50s that never had a regular job nor a career living in NYC and never complain about how they've been discriminated by their age nor their skin color while they continue to work jobs that young people would never work. They still continue to save money and put their kids through school. I never see young people save money or make the right decisions to have a rainy day fund.
Most of us here have experienced job losses through 2 or more recessions including 9/11 when most jobs disappeared around. So it's the millennials turn to experience hardship and that's their way of expressing frustration with real life? Is to go out and participate in a riot? What gives them any right to destroy private property?
Lol. This isn't just a loss of jobs. It's a mass loss of jobs. Family's are literally about to be put on the street. And the government gave out 1 1200 check. But here come these pathetic boomers acting like they know the world they live in. This isn't like 9/11 or 2007. The works has changed. Jobs have changed. Open your eyes and look around. And the government did nothing. Meanwhile other countries completely covered for their citizens. Wake up.
You ever seen New York in the early 90s? This is childsplay compared to that. 2016 is more accurate.
Quote:
Bullets are whizzing around New York this month at a rate not seen in nearly a quarter-century, according to the NYPD — and police sources warned that the recent rate of gunplay may be the new normal.
Through the first three weeks of June, which came to a close Sunday, city streets echoed with 125 shooting incidents, Chief of Crime Control Strategies Michael LiPetri told The Post on Monday.
“We have to go back to June of 1996 to get a worse start for June,” said LiPetri. “That is a telling stat.”
look, if they started as of today recruiting a new police force that was composed of 75% minority members, including Asians, Women, and Hispanics, there would be far fewer demonstration and they would occur with less intensity, indeed. white ethnic kids from suffolk county are all too unprepared for new york city, although there are exceptions, indeed.

White ethnic kids from Suffolk County make up almost an unnoticeable percentage of the NYPD, no matter how hard you squeeze your brain right now to prove otherwise.

Just to touch on that, dont you need a city residence when you first start the job???
I grew up on SI, I took the nypd test in either 88 or 89 (wow that was another lifetime ago) On SI back then if you didnt become a teacher , you joined NYPD, FDNY, DSNY or became a nurse. Not only that, city residents get preference points.
pearls to swine, why am i even explaining this. Why cant crooks just listen when told to freeze? lol
You have to live in the resident counties, but the vast majority are from the city. Most that live in Long Island now moved there as soon as they were able to escape this cesspool.
