Why is this old geezer still free? Were it anyone else they'd be getting three hots and a cot years ago.

Anyway Mr. Silver doesn't want to "die in prison".

Never mind he's dragged things out so long that had he been sentenced sooner he'd likely be out by now.

He did the crime, now he has to do the time. Entitlement of some people is unreal! Why does he think he's better than other criminals and doesn't need to be in jail

Excerpt: Sheldon Silver Begs Judge For Leniency.

Response: Is this the same guy that did not think twice of destroying peoples careers while grabbing millions? He's still alive?
His lawyers have asked for a “substantial term of home confinement” and community service, according to court filings.
Looks like he has already won. By the time he has to pay the piper he will have died of old age.

Politicians and people are treated so differently in the courts of not so blind justice...

Guy is walking away with millions in graft, yet he's crying about doing time.

https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york...ecy-story.html

Sentencing isn't until July 20th; watch even if Sheldon Silver does get time in slammer he is allowed to slow walk turning himself over to federal authorities.

Did I mention this guy is still likely getting is state and perhaps city pension?

White collar crime is where its at. Walk around freely while living out your life waiting to be sentenced must be real good when others are dragged off to jail and denied bond.

It's crazy to not have stronger laws for clawbacks on graft. It should be his pension, his own wealth, that of anyone that's hiding money for him (so you can't just transfer to a spouse), and for any company that was awarded contracts via his influence.
