I like to stand in front of those outdoor gutter cafes in my wife beater, black socks with sandals and smoke a big smelly cigar.
It ensures people stay six feet away from me.
Am I the only one that thinks the restaurants that set up tables on the street are safe?
Especially as the city opens more cars are frantically swerving around. I wonder how car insurance and business insurance companies will handle such occurrences. I’d think more blame would be placed on the establishment since you are trusting the placement of the tables??
I saw a particular place with tables set up in a turning lane. However, the view of the tables was blocked by a delivery van.

By me, this restaurant placed tables right at the corner where cars, trucks, buses turn regularly.
And each time a bus turns this close to the tables, I have to turn my head because one false move and the diners are going to get wiped out. I just hope all these drivers that turn at that precise spot are good drivers and paying special attention.
Those tables are packed with people. I have to give kudos to the owner because they set it up so nicely and pretty but... they're not exactly placed in a safe spot. But the diners don't seem to care. They're all happy talking and munching away.
