i really like it. they outfitted the buildings in red and blue light, so at night it looks amazing...
the location tho is a gift and a curse
Yea, it's south of the Major Deegan it seems which is like a micro neighborhood where the nice, bougie stuff has been getting built up though this is placed west of Third Avenue, so crossing into that part isn't all that easy and pleasant.

yes it is...
port morris is ok, but a car enhances your life if you live there. if not, getting around will be a B walking
Need to put light rail - from 125th and the Hudson to 149th the Hub.
It's really well situated for an extension of the second avenue subway into the Bronx. That's ostensibly what's supposed to happen with two services running on the Second Avenue subway--one that turns west and is a crosstown for Harlem and then another service going up into the Bronx. It'd be good for the Bronx one to go from 2nd Avenue to Lincoln Avenue with a stop at 138th street to transfer to the 6 and then go up 3rd Avenue and then maybe up Boston Road.
Hell NO! I never said that. I'm all for areas to improve, especially mine. I'd love to be able to go out to a bar down the street from me or a food establishment that isn't fast food and bad for you.
Nothing wrong with raises prices for nice accommodations, but putting a building in the hood and asking prices for what people can get in nice neighborhoods in high rises already is insane. I hope the greedy developer has an empty sitting building. There needs to be a middle ground. Its a nice building offering amenities, so its more then other places in the area. But the area isn't developed to offer midtown prices.
Not me, but somebody who spends $400 on Yeezy Boost sneakers would and will :-).
I don't think this type of construction is what you guys tend to call "gentrification", though. People you usually call "gentrifiers" are frugal artists and professionals looking for understated value in more affordable areas. People you call "gentrifiers" are typically not looking for overpriced flashy architectural c*ap :-).
