Well,it is pretty amazing,Republican Rudy kicked butt on crime. Developers bought Times Square and "gentrified" it, NYPD did not fix it.
How else would they convince the "taxpayers" to stay in the 1990s (I put taxpayers in quotes because everybody pays taxes, but I really mean the middle class, which is a fabrication anyway), and transplants to come in the 2000s, by making it look like NYPD was doing such a good job? Well these transplants are from the middle of America, don't know about any other race, not their fault. Lets make it safe for them. Stop and frisk time! I dare you to say Times Square without Disney. Conde Nast. Please. You really think a bunch of high school grads dropped crime? If it wasnt with their brains, then what was it, force?
You still follow politics? Do you also buy newspapers instead of reading it on your phone? Man if dupes can get duped. Keep voting bro. Go Seahorses.

Well, both. The state was very much involved in the Times Square redevelopment. It's been a while, but IIRC there was a lot of eminent domain involved in the redevelopment, and the none of the organizations involved city, state, private developers were going to let the street skels disrupt the plan. So from that standpoint the NYPD was very much involved.

BLM thug in NYC attacks peaceful protesters and robs them. NYC no go areas
Response:
We have rescue pets. They came for deplorable backgrounds. Under our love and care and watchful eye (policing)
it has made for a loving home for many years. Still.... if I leave them unattended....for even a moment......bickering
can ensue and it ends up with a trip to the vet for a few stitches. The similarity of defunding police is resulting in a
pattern of similarity. Without the watchful eye, bickering ensues among the most deplorable of our society resulting
in hospital stays for stitches whether it come from a beat down ,stabbing or gun shot wound. I can't imagine any one
of my dogs capable of handling a weapon?
Nuff said.

No not both. What steps did the NYPD specifically take to reduce crime in Times Square in the late 1980s - 1990s then? You have the floor.

A lot of street gangs started turning to white collar crime (making fake credit cards).
Have you considered projecting your views elsewhere besides C-D? Because the demographic you're talking about largely does not even post on here. I would you you have this same type of energy in public otherwise your whole post is hyprocritical.
Those problems may well contribute to crime. Are you saying we have to wait a few generations while these problems work themselves out for us to have a right to safety?

It seems like every night now the media here is reporting on more and more crimes taking place. I hope our leaders can get the handle on this problem soon enough or Detroit 2.0 here we go.
