As a society there are rules to follow. Crime perpetrated by people who were deprived the
basic life skills leads to criminality. Culmination of bad parenting, lack of education, lack of
jobs equates to non assimilation as one example.
The repeat offenders are another fine
example of failure of not knowing how to step in line which should have been learned back
in kindergarten. Unfortunately many criminals only learn the hard way by being sent away
for 15 plus years only to be released as old people and hopefully graduate back into society.
Does this apply to white-collar crime too, or nahh?

No, but how is your question relevant to the topic of violent street crime? And how is it related to this thread (ie, how many people are leaving NYC, or even avoiding certain parts of the city, due to fear of white-collar crime)?

So does this apply to white collar-crime too?

I would love to know what makes people think they can move to a city and it will be completely devoid of crime. That will never happen. One murder a year should be too much. Apparently for some its acceptable. But human beings are selfish creatures anyway. As long as it does not happen to us we're fine - but then that goes against the definition of what society is.

I don't expect transparency from most, but as a reminder, it is alays welcomed.

Response: Agreed, but only if followed by Quality of Life going down as well. Time to plant them money trees....................
I don’t think the price of living will go down. Real estate investors do not discount their properties. The city/state RE taxes will not lessen. Their mortgage costs will not lessen. Their maintenance costs will not lessen. Why do you expect the cost of living to go down? The city/state will dump welfare into vacant properties. That cancer will just metastasize .

This applies to everybody............
Only difference is that the stupid people get caught first
eventually followed by the more sophisticated and intelligent criminals.....................
