Madness begins again later this week as Revel scooters and their clueless riders are once again set to become a menace to society.

In those cities, riders must use the company’s app to take a photo of themselves wearing a helmet before riding. They must also take a 20-minute safety training class on their phones before using a moped.
They think this will stop the stupidity?
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

I think they are a great mode of transportation in NYC but they are definately not used properly by most of the people I've seen using them.. going against traffic.. running red lights.. driving on sidewalk.. not to mention they were a favorite of the guys who were running some of the looting rings when that whole fiasco was going on. well and citibikes..

The mopeds are made by Chinese manufacturer Niu, and are not allowed to be used on bridges, highways or tunnels.

Response: Opinion
The stupidity of our elected officials. Let the mopeds be used on bridges responsibly.
People travel from the outer boroughs to the city and back daily. Why not on mopeds?
Mopeds uncomfortable? How about a three wheeler. Yup they are out there.
The Governor and Mayor must fear that this would bring an end the flailing MTA once and for all.

The Democrats all believe in containment of the people.
Cramped in housing. Cramped in Transportation.
Stop cramping our style elected officials.

I hate mopeds in NYC because people who ride them are stupid and selfish. They think the traffic laws don't apply to them. They don't stop at red lights, drive the wrong way down the street and constantly almost hit people. Now if we had a civilized city and people actually followed the laws, they would been wonderful. But we have too many trashy people here.

Wait you can't take them on bridges? I was considering researching this for when I resume work and taking one of these versus the MTA.

I agree to some extent. But at least licensed moto cyclist are knowledgeable of what the laws are. Those on mopeds are clueless.
