Is Junior's cheesecake really all that? Were they really all that great to begin with? If not where can one find NYC's best cheesecake? (Maybe....gasp....cheesecake factory?)
I've had a couple slices from them but I wasn't floored by them. Unless I need to refresh my tastebuds.
Eileen’s Special Cheesecake
17 Cleveland Pl,
near little Italy
between Spring and Kenmare on Lafayette St. is a wedge shaped small "square" with benches
called Lt Petrosino squre on the east side of that the small street called Cleveland Pl.
There, near to Kenmare, excellent cheesecake rivaling Junior's, been there since the 70s
On the south end of that square (which is actually triangular" is a great taco place called La Esquina Corner Deli.
Factory/bakery at 238th Street off Broadway. They've been there like forever. If the bakery is closed, you used to be able to buy frozen cake at bodega down the block. Don't know if that's still true.
i love juniors... never had a bad cheesecake from them
