Why do restaurants have to suffer another 3 weeks before opening for indoor dining? What’s the difference from tomorrow until September 30th i wonder.

To get preparations in order (setting up tables, installing or updating ventilation systems) for the restaurant owners. And have the "enforcement mechanism" in place. I'm guessing.

Yah these rules aren't sitting well with me. Especially how you must provide your information.

That sounds like a dinner at a gestapo resort of some sort. The F with that.

So some schlub in the restaurant who you don’t know later tests positive and you will get a call and probably be subjected to a mandatory quarantine. Who would dine in with that possibility?

'...temperature checks for all customers at the door...'

An insult to restaurant owners and patrons. Cuomo and deBlasio know that this will only discourage diners. Who wants their temperature checked by a restaurant employee? And what if it's over 98.6°? And if there's a 'spike' the restaurants go back to take-out only? The message to NYC restaurant owners is to close up for good, they can't survive being at the whim of losers like Cuomo and deBlasio.
