Difference between UES and Tribeca/FiDi is like night and day.
When walking to "Q" at 86th streets on UES are packed. Get off at City Hall (after transferring to R/W), start walking around and there's almost nothing. This is during day, afternoon and even early evening. But say 9PM or so things are pretty desolate down there period.

I think so. Especially the ones that would have benefited from outdoor dining before, but couldn't get a permit. There's a cafe in my neighborhood that's changed hands three times in four years. Not enough clients and too much competition. The new owner has set up tables on the sidewalk and every time I walk by, they're all full. It looks like they're getting much more traffic this way.
I recently in drive by Elmhurst on my way to try Filipino food. Outdoor dining looks like its doing pretty good. And this is the weekday.
Downtown Flushing seems to be back to normal. Skyview is back open.
Corona especially Corona Plaza is packed with vendors, patrons, and homeless. The nearby elementary school playground is filled with adults playing soccer late into the night. They need to close that park down because I sure all the junkies in there leaving needles for the kids to find once school opens up again.
Midtown, and Downtown Manhattan though is a lot less crowded with all the transplants going home. Uptown though is same as usual.
