Gov. Andrew Cuomo shows photos of large orthodox Jewish gatherings during his news conference today.
What a shanda.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo put New York’s Jewish Orthodox community on blast Monday for hosting mass gatherings amid the pandemic — but used a nearly two-decade old photo to illustrate his point.

“We know there have been mass gatherings going on in concert with religious institutions in these communities for weeks,” Cuomo said during a news briefing addressing COVID-19 outbreaks in certain areas of the Empire State.

On display beside the gov was a slideshow with images purporting to be of recent packed events in the Orthodox community, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and Orange County.

“These pictures are just from the past couple of weeks,” Cuomo declared.

In fact, one of the photos was taken 14 years ago — at the 2006 funeral of revered Hassidic rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum in the Orange County village of Kiryas Joel.

This isn't going to go too well!

It's weird to me that he has it in with the Jews buy they've also been a lot more rebellious. I'm surprised the Christians aren't rebelling as much but the Christian faith has largely been hi-jacked by leftist propaganda anyway but I digress. And you know, definitely can't target the Muslims. Islamophobia and racism!

Yes! I remember even 40 years ago it was not unusual to go to a Christian church and listen to a sermon about the evils of rock music and leftist politics. In the 80s, there were still plenty of Greatest Generation types alive and they ruled over this country. The disrespect and SJW bs we see today would never have penetrated churches in those days. Unfortunately, since Christianity is declining they need new members so they've watered down a lot of what was standard fare.

"Repent and convert" became "Jesus loves all and be who you wanna be!!!" LMAO.

As for Jews, they will NOT bow down. They live their faith. Of course, it's easy to attack them because Cuomo knows they won't put a bomb on the subway as radical islamists would definitely do.

I never liked Cuomo, but now I like him even less. I never fell for the whole "ohh Cuomo's been great during the pandemic"! No, he hasn't. Cuomo has literally sent people to die. In a non-clown world, he'd be arrested for criminal behavior against the elderly.

These are no ordinary Jews. These are Hasids and Orthodox Jews. Let's get this straight. They look down upon normal people of the Jewish faith.

This shows what a rag the NY Post . The Post was doing the most stories about surges in Borough Park but now they are trying to distance themselves with this old photos story in order to disrupt today's meeting between Cuomo and rabbis in these neighborhoods

Here's the reality

Infection Rate As High As 17% In NYC Coronavirus Hotspots: Cuomo
Several Brooklyn and Queens ZIP codes have coronavirus infection rates between 6 and 17 percent, according to new data from the governor.

Brooklyn's positivity rate was as high as 17 percent in one ZIP code covering Borough Park, where city officials have warned of a case uptick since August. Twenty-six of the 155 people tested in the ZIP code on Sunday were positive for coronavirus

Who is it that typically does these commentaries suggesting masks are not necessary in New York?
simple, either people who either are not currently living here or are in some much less population dense area of the city

White House gatherings, same problem

With all due respect, I feel this way: If people want to work from home, wear masks, social distance, let them. But don't prevent others who don't want to subject themselves to this control on behalf of the government. So many people have gotten covid, but not everyone has died from it. The media loves to scare people by saying, "X number of cases" followed by "x number of deaths." But the reality is that the numbers are there: 200K dead in a country of 380 million is a small percentage.
I don't think it's logical to close down businesses, put people on the unemployment line, keep them at home, and otherwise subject them to a lifestyle that they're not used to living in. The policy is not balanced.

Also, if masks work, then whoever is wearing one shouldn't be bothered by someone who is not wearing theirs because well, you already have yours on. Do you see how illogical this mask-wearing BS is?
