Service from Hunterspoint Avenue is only inbound (NYC-bound) in the AM and outbound (LI-bound) in the PM. Long Island City has even fewer trains than Hunterspoint Avenue.

I work right near Hunterspoint Avenue and the area can be a bit desolate but I would consider it safe.
