It probably will make the economy worse.

I wonder what would have happened... if this was handled correctly. Hmmm... cut the borders, shut down everything across 50 states, all at once. Give working people a stipend to live on while they are not working, so they can spend money and continue to stimulate the economy, keeping economic activity.

hmmmm maybe we would have been shut down for a month or two... instead of eight and continued counting.
