to limit host to host jumping and almost killing it off in 4 years time.
The flu is still around. Will never go away. 30-60 thousand a year still die.
Covid will be the same. Wear the mask. Kill it mostly off in 4 years time.
Accept that it will never ever go away but be happy that masks eventually will.
Human beings knew enough to stay away from people with colds and
sick people knew enough to stay home when sick before Covid.
Eventually .....10-30-50 years acceptance that a person with Covid
is treated no different than a person with the flu.
Keeping the economy shut down is more deadly than Covid.
What is really needed is a vaccine against politicians who are killing
the economy rather than Covid killing people but that is a another discussion.

Very true, and indeed even with the flu you should stay home. How many times do you go to work to find a colleague sneezing and coughing with a fever who told you he didn’t want to take a sick day, then contaminates everyone else? Many times.
Even recently a friend of mine told me he had to quarantine because he went to a dinner, and one of the guests, though he had symptoms still insisted to show up, and tested positive a few days later. Now everybody else that was at the dinner was screwed and stuck home, because one person decided to be selfish and give no crap about others.
