Of course I forgot about daylight savings time and got up a little before 5 am to make the 7am opening time. I didn't want to take time out of a work day.
It took an hour and 15 minutes round trip to go vote and come back with bagels. The line was even shorter when I left my polling place (Wagner MS, UES), not even halfway down the block. Probably a 5 minute wait.
They opened another polling place (Marymount on 71st) and were trying to get people to go but it was farther away from my apartment and would have taken longer for everything so I declined.
They did check-in this time with tablets instead of those big roll books. Nice.
There are a little over a million active voters registered in NY county (Manhattan) so there's still a ways to go if the early voting total was 212,299 on Saturday. Turnout in Manhattan was 60% in 2016 so that would mean another 375-400,000 that will need to vote on Tuesday.
Watching NY1, no lines on the UES voting site. People stating they were in & out in no time. No wait time at all. It's a different story on a poll site somewhere in the 40's & 9th Avenue though. Please get out to vote if you can!
Honestly the best time to vote is usually between 10am to around 2 or 3pm. Shorter lines since most people are at work or school. I voted today at 10am.

Haven't gone to vote yet, but I've heard my polling place has a line out the door today. It's not usually this busy. Awesome. Crummy election choices, but at least something good is coming of them. Would be great if more people got in the habit of showing up to vote.
