Ever see the HBO show Billions? Bobby Axelrod is based off of Steve Cohen.
He's a lifelong Mets fan who suffered with the rest of us. He knows what needs to be done and as seen from the graph above he is STUPID rich 3 times more than any other owner. He's known for getting everything he wants cost be damned. He can and will provide the Mets with everything they need in terms of personnel, technology etc. He will bring in the best front office, sign the best players. Pretty much the total opposite of the Wilpons.
I've never seen the show
but if he's a life-long Mets fan like you say, then this should be interesting

Ah, I see. Interesting. I'm sure Cohen just saw this as another business expense...I see it as negotiating with a terrorist. The thing is too is that if Cohen really wants to he can easily bankroll a candidate that could take apart NYC politics.
