I heard this yesterday and it only hit me then, the destruction of NYC in the 70's & 80's was triggered by the riots and bombings in the 1960s. Here we are with history repeating itself with riots and violence and NYC being turned into a completely inhospitable place for families and the middle class all over again.

Not many moving around here. I have a friend that moved to a new nyc building for a larger place with lower rent. Right now is a good time to find deals.
Yep, some of the market rate studios apts are cheaper than mine and the one bedrooms aren’t far off. That said, there is constant move ins between my building and the two others that are within a block.
There is not enough money though to sustain revenue that can provide for public services.
