Started as an "Innocent Domestic Dispute".... isn't this what politicians want to send social workers to in order to give people hugs and flowers to make them calm down?

Thankfully the perp is dead. I'm always giddy after someone who tries to kill cops becomes fertilizer. I absolutely love reading stories with positive outcomes!!!

One officer shot in the leg, the other in both hands
Suspect dead. He was a working peace officer and licenced gun owner.
The police were at the home of the domestic despite victim, the man was not there initially but he then showed up and immediately started firing at police.
If there were social workers there instead of police would he have shot them?
I would say this is very much unknown. Maybe but he may also have not shot them because social workers would not be people that would arrest him

Domestic violence. Wife went to the precinct to report domestic violence, officers escorted her back to the house. Shootout ensued. Suspect was a CUNY peace officer, licensed gun owner and no criminal record. I blame Covid.

Shea said part of the investigation would include why he still had the guns given the history of domestic violence complaints. A senior official tells News 4 New York there had been four previous calls for domestic incidents to the home.
This is the problem. I'm sure they will get on that right away...

Maybe but we cannot assume a domestic dispute only occurs because of the fact that domestic disputes are said to be elevated due to COVID.
How did you find out he was CUNY so fast? I suppose he was a campus police officer
Would he still be working each week?
