FYI

https://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs...sts_po-organic

After shutting down last month due to rising cases of the coronavirus, some public schools will begin reopening on Monday.

Which students are heading back? How often will they be in class? And could schools close again? Well, it’s complicated. Here’s what you need to know about Back to School, take two.

Yep! Facts. If this was a corny sitcom, someone would wake up and say, "whew, this year was all a crazy dream!". Or if this year was a computer, we'd all be setting reboot. What a year for a new year.

It's amazing how this isnt being discussed or at least I havent heard of. It's like people are acting as if everything is normal and will go right back to the way it is.

It's just too much to think about. It's overwhelming. In the meantime...

Sitting in my car as I type this waiting to pick up my kids from a full day of a full 5 day week of Catholic School in what Cuomo has deemed an "orange zone" (whatever that means, because I don't care).

My kids will get their education despite our overlords' dueling attempts to stop them from doing so.

It's a normal with feet of clay. You can't kick an entire country's worth of kids out of school for a year+ and not expect some kind of consequences. I don't think any of them will be positive. And I'm completely sure it will be a year+, and nothing will change come next September. UFT will find a way to keep working from home even when the vaccine is easily available for adults (don't you know it, now that it's on the way, some teachers are trying to have their cake and eat it too - too scared to go to class, too scared to get vaccinated, humor us and to heck with the kids).
