Why Aim so low? Why not get a job in construction, labor, take free computer classes, get a job that leads to skills learning and move on up to better things?
Sell Counterfeit items in the street or sell drugs? That's all they can do?
I think these people are capable of much more. Apparently you don't think very highly of them, and politicians don't either.
all the undocumented immigrants have the construction jobs
not everyone wants to work a traditional 9 to 5.
that's the great thing about this country, you can do that
They already are. Walk down 5th Avenue in Midtown lately? They've got their crap all over the sidewalk.
Really?! Wow. I thought it was just the East Village. I can't picture that. Do you mean on the lower numbers (30's)? Because I can't picture them being further uptown (50's).
Some of these new policies almost make me regret retiring. No more touching homeless? No more answering EDP jobs? No more moving vendors from one corner to another?
Being a cop in NYC is about to get a whole lot easier for guys and gals who handle is smartly. I could've stayed and boosted my pension even more!

No, I meant the 40s and parts of the lower 50s. They stand right in front of Noble Bookstore, Best Buy and other stores on 5th with their fake Made in China crappola.

You mention your pension in every other post yet you a) are still in New York and b) you're moving to jersey. Should have just kept working like you said yourself.
Police enforcement is good for LEGAL street vendors. Good luck competing against unlicensed swindlers on the street.
