Thoughts? I see this as more political posturing that will just cost the taxpayers as usual. 1)They likely will not legally be able to end this contract and 2)Even if they do, these locations will likely start going into disrepair ... thanks again NYC
A foolish decision from a legal standpoint as he didn't break any law--regardless of what the house speaker and some other members say. Impeachment is a wholly political process--though you can impeach for actual crimes--but the charge cited in this article isn't actually a crime, at least not as applies to the speech. Note, to this point, even though the Constitution expressly spells out the requirements for impeachment, because the Supreme Court has stated that impeachment is a political matter entirely, the house can impeach for whatever reason (even for a non-crime) and there is no judicial recourse for an accused.
Thus, this seems like a decision destined to cost NYC taxpayers money for breach of contract.
It is a pre-emptive strike. I would think the city attorney perused the fine print in the contract on terms to terminate. Looking to the near future, both private citizen Trump and his organization have a date in court with Cyrus Vance and Letitia James. The eventual results cannot be good for the twice impeached president.

My thoughts exactly. We the taxpayers will be paying the full bill plus lawyer fees after Trump sues the crap out of the city and gets the full contract value plus damages because comrade Bozo violated the terms of the deal

" Impeached " is nothing but a colorful word used for " Court ".
Going to court is one thing............being found guilty is another...................

That is due to feckless republican senators. Public officials devoid of conscience.
