Benjamin crump saying she was charged with 4 felonies. Yet she’s released 0 bail. This bail Reform is really showing it’s true effect. 14 year old victim of a racist attack we are told. And she WALKS out of court. I said many posts back just give her her ticket in Cali. It’s a waste of time.
Update her lawyer according to the post said she will be home tomorrow. She wasn’t even in New York for 24 hours and walks on 4 felonies.

It's simple. For years, black males especially (men and teens) have been stereotyped as thugs and thieves, especially by the media. My guess is they want to make amends and since this kid did not steal her phone, have his name cleared. Historically, black males have been accused in various incidents where they were innocent (the Central Park Five are an example) and the assumption is oh they're black, so they must've did XYZ because they are always assumed to be the culprits.
Sad but true. Black people are supposedly all poor, have terrible health (somehow, no matter what the illness, black people supposedly are always the worst off). This is how the media portrays black people, so when you see nothing but that, there are people that believe that.

I doubt the NYPD would go to California to apprehend a black person accused of calling a white person a thief (not a crime) with a little pushing and shoving with no visible injuries and no property taken. They would probably be reluctant to even take a report.
