I find people drive too fast, especially with the pandemic and little traffic being on the streets.

I'm on Cross Bay Blvd in Broad Channel a few weeks ago doing 45 through the wilderness and people are blowing by me. I know its a long stretch without street lights, but it's not a highway...

Give them an inch, they will take MPH away. Pretty soon only horse and carriage will be allowed
I'm thinking we need to return to horse and buggy days. The manure will improve the current smell

I agree. Bike lanes? Failure! I see more bicycles on the avenues than in their "lanes".
Anyone issuing tickets to all the bicycles blowing red lights? nope.

Dbozio is demanding more bike lanes, more speed cameras, more red light cameras! and yet, pedestrian deaths are rising. Maybe its not the vehicles? Maybe its pedestrian stupidity

Here is my problem, these liberals ALWAYS blame Drivers.

How about running an education campaign for pedestrians like something simple like... oh I don't know "Cross on the green and not in between?" or Explain how J Walking is dangerous? Or Darting our from in between cars can be bad for your health?

Nah lets blame cars 100%

Just like liberals blame Legal Honest Gun Owners for gun crime and not the criminals.

Correct. Same like they ignore victims and sympathize with the criminals

The biggest problem I see here isn't the speeding but let's say if you are waiting to make a turn and the person behind you can't wait and then they go in front of you to turn. That sh** is dangerous and has happened to me several times. I have had people on the highway drive up close behind me and then when I leave the left lane, they almost hit me in the back due to how fast they accelerated to overtake me (leave the left lane virtually at the same time)...I had just put on my indicator to let them know I would move. So impatient!

I don't know about up here but if you slam into someone's back, you can sue not just civilly but criminally for following too close.

I think Cross Bay Blvd is the last street in all of Queens to still have a 40 mph speed limit.

But in a crazy roundabout way, the same libs give leniency to law breakers. They love passing all types of law to limit your freedom, but if you do break those laws (especially if you are black and brown), they are okay with you. Go figure that logic.
Sad but true. Lib logic can suck a ****. Tis an automatic rotating door for a lot of crimes now a days. Perps do not even have to exert any effort to get out.
