Cuomo in is state of NYS address laid out a long wish list of things he wants to see happen this year. All of them cost money (that busted NYS does not have), and heavily rely upon what he hopes will be a gravy train of federal money courtesy of Chuck Schumer.

First out of the gate Il Duce says MTA needs $8 billion *more* on top of recent $4 billion to stave off fare hikes and service cuts.

Next Cuomo has a grand plan to extend High Line to connect with Penn Station.

Also on that wish list Il Duce wants to convert empty commercial buildings (offices and hotels mainly) into housing for homeless.

Oh he's got all sorts planned for upcoming year; stay tuned folks because this is going to be interesting. More so even with democrats in control of all three branches of federal government there still is push back to hauling out the treasury to benefit NYS.

Extending the High Line would be an impressive urban feat.

Only other thing Andrew Cuomo loves more than hearing sound of his own voice, is slapping his name (or his father's) onto structures.

All over new SAS subway stations there are plaques with "Andrew Cuomo - governor of New York State" something you don't see anywhere else. Haven't been yet but am sure somewhere in or on Farley post office/the "new" Penn Station there are similar plaques.

Next year Cuomo is up for reelection (assuming he runs, which by all accounts that is the plan), but before he goes the guy is going to plaster his name onto more buildings than "Trump".

I look forward to prime commercial real estate turning into homeless shelters. That'll certainly bring this city back to life, said no one ever.
