Some people want to go out in style. Beats being chewed up by a train or sailing away into the ocean from GWB.

Perhaps people are depressed due to the city being shut down for 10 months.

Mental health is a serious problem in this city

deBlasio tried with ThriveNYC and he was ridiculed for it

Of course it's not going to work if nobody picks up the phone and asks for help

I would remodel ThriveNYC. Turn it into a 24 hour hotline with psychiatrists who are available for sessions, over the phone or remotely.

People need to talk to somebody.

Maybe they are, but I'm sure they had other factors going on in their life before Covid, it takes a lot to get to that mental state. It's not like flicking a light switch.

We are losing more people to SUICIDE and OVERDOSE than the number of people dying from COVID

But let's keep the lock down going
