Hmmm...

https://www.amny.com/news/the-battle...-a-social-war/

A war has been raging in the Chelsea neighborhood since the dawn of the pandemic, but it is not a battle against the COVID-19 virus. Instead, it is a fight brewed from one of its symptoms.

Longtime residents and businesses have been jousting with the new kids on the block—homeless individuals taking refuge in otherwise vacant hotels. However, this has created a dispute between new and seasoned residents. Many longtime locals say that the area has changed for the worse, citing blatant drug use, mounting garbage, and an exponential increase in violence making them feel unsafe in their own neighborhood. Some store owners have even taken to padlocking their fridges, which they say is to prevent homeless individuals from stealing bottles of soda while others claim they are losing customers from constant harassment.

"Still, he tells amNewYork that he does not believe all those living in the nearby hotels are an issue. Instead, he feels that there is a third component at play stemming from a certain few who suffer from mental health problems, whom he postulates require care they are not receiving.

“Certainly not all of them are bad people, that’s not what I am saying. But many of them have mental health problems, a huge portion of them have serious health problems. That’s caused a lot of problems here in the neighborhood,” said Accardi."

First off the write talks about the hotel on 36th Street, that's not in Chelsea ...

Second this summer I wrote on here how bad and uncomfortable it was to walk down 36th street. Sadly the colder weather didn't change that.

Eighth avenue from about the twenties north to and past 34th street has been a busted hood for ages. Arrival of "some" money on either side of that avenue and overall in Chelsea hasn't changed that fact.

Sadly the disease has spread from about 34th street and Sixth going really both north and south, and of course west towards 8th avenue and beyond.

FIT campus is somewhat immune, but they have tons of security patrolling those blocks 24/7. However again once you reach 8th avenue the s**t show begins again.

Liberals getting tired of liberalism. I'm sure they will double down next election cycle to fix the issue of liberalism by voting for more liberalism.

These leftist politicians are going to struggle to create an actual agenda that doesnt revolve around orange man bad. The righties will struggle for not backing said orange man. Its prime time for a legit third party to come forth in america.

People in the highest level of government have the most severe of mental health problems. Often it seems a REQUIREMENT for high office.
