They robbed a Chanel store. Chanel products are not made by slaves in 3rd world countries. They are made by qualified workers in France, who are decently paid. That's why Chanel bags cost thousands of dollars a piece.
Regarding what the rest of the world think of the USA: I can only speak for myself, but I see it as declining country that, if it continues on the same path, will become 3rd world sooner than later.
Agreed.
I do not even consider Gucci or Prada 'luxury goods' as they have been linked to slave labor several years ago but nobody want to talk about that.
I love D&G, Burberry London, Dior, Iceberg, Chanel and Fendi for that reason. They refuse to cheapen their brand.[note username]. I'm a luxury goods specialist and your comment is spot-on.

"Here is the truth: Burberry does produce in China, as well as Poland, Romania, India, Spain, Italy, England, and, yes, even in the United States. Not only are there Burberry Factories all over the world, they also contract other clothing makers in different area to make items for them"
Just be glad that home invasions haven't gone up as much, if there are no stores left to rob. That's the next thing they will do. I've had relative that had their homes broken into while they were away and that has never happened to them but happened now during the pandemic. Shows that thieves are targeting homes too.

This happened about 2 years ago, not 'many' as the article states.
Burberry London and Burberry Britain are 2 different collections and brands lowkey but nobody really knows that. lol It's kind of like Versace is to Versus.
I'm definitely aware of this beloved. I can tell by the pattern design and label alone where it was made especially* with Burberry. Okay.... so maybe Burberry was a bad example but I hope you understood what I mean.
Franco Moschino [Milano] and The Gilmar Group [Venice] have certain collections and seasons made in Turkey as well. It's gets deep and has more to do with where the fashion event is held, custom restrictions, easier shipping protocol and a ton of other factors. This does not mean contrary to popular belief these items are made in 'sweatshops' or of a lesser quality.
Thanks for sharing as I know you had good intentions and #StayStylin'.
Don't let anybody tell you different. lol

What is your point? Burberry is a British upmarket clothing/accessories company, and yes, they have manufacturing works in different countries (all of the countries on the list having regional traditions of quality textile production), and they do not use any slave labor.
Even though I am not interested in luxury items, I have owned a Burberry trenchcoat (bought for more than my full monthly salary at that time :-) for about 32 years, and it still looks like new. It is wearable in all seasons and situations (except when I go to the Bronx), it is practically indestructible. I'd probably get cremated in it when I die, except that my heir will likely want it because it will still be looking like new :-). That kind of thing is not produced in slave sweatshops.

Years ago in my 20s, I used to wear Burberry. I would wear their dress shirts and polos. Those were always made in England or made in the UK. When they decided that they would move production to China, that's when I recall there was an uproar, as people that wear high-end goods said the brand would be sullied, and I agree. I haven't touched that brand since that happened. Switched to wearing my usual Italian brands (Corneliani, Bagutta, etc.) "made in Italy".
Moschino I have worn (just the made in Italy items - bought a pair of sneakers years ago) to wear in the office. Cool designs.
I always thought most of these people just shop online and buy this stuff. That's what I do, even for my custom made shirts.
