Scary. Amazing no one died although two are hospitalized. smh.

Neighbors on Paulding Avenue can't talk about the explosion without getting emotional.

Norma Galarza was in her apartment when she felt Thursday's blast. She ran outside, where she helped her neighbor and two young daughters escape, catching a toddler and her infant sister from their terrified mother, who tossed them from a second-floor window.

"What else is going to be on my mind? That baby dangling from the window. That was the worse of all, those kids, those girls, the mother trying to jump with her kids. That's hard," Galarza said.

The explosion at 1522 Paulding Avenue in the Bronx is under investigation

NYC Dept. of Buildings issued several violations to landlord after finding illegal gas pipes

Nine people were taken to hospital, including two young girls

How awful. So glad no one died. I wouldn't be getting over having to catch a baby thrown from a window any time soon, either.

Wow. I'm traumatized just reading about this. So glad no one died!!!!! My building had a huge gas fire (thankfully no explosion) years ago, and when we moved to a new place, I insisted on a low floor. And every now and then, I think about how I could lower the kids out the window safely if it happened again and we couldn't get out the door

1522 Paulding is a 3-family building, not condos. Constructed in 2002. Owned by a Bronx-based LLC with a mailing address at a warehouse.

As you'd expect after an explosion a Full Vacate Order is in effect on the property - Vacate Order Complaints at BIN #: 2100723

At least it was a Fedders House that blew up and not something nice

I feel really bad for the victims, though
