Republican party ignoring Asians is a bonus.

Just leave people the heck alone,..lol.

Dems are not 'ignoring' Asians,. that's the problem, they are doing it in a bad way, imho.

Pubs will tell you to move your arms to swim. Dems will tell you to climb on swimmer's backs.

You mentioned your wife earlier in the discussion, that used to be liberal and now isn't anymore. What made her liberal back then: social issues, the economy, immigration policy?

Do you guys feel maybe that the Republican party ignores you, while the Democratic party doesn't?

Let me preface everything, by saying both establishment R and D party are shams for their true masters- the 0.0001% globalists that run the show. R's pander to religious nuts, while D's pander to the woke and minority victim types. The difference between a Mit Romney and Chuck Schumer is superificial.

However, from a pure ideologic standpoint, R's at least do not play identity politics. They don't care what color you are, they will respect your success and achievements. Democrats don't like that asians work/study too hard, because it doesn't fit their perpetual victimhood narrative. So while R's ignore asians, their policies directly benefit anyone that works hard and makes money and likes law and order. D policies actively hurt and demonize successful asians (affirmative action, high taxes, anti-business). And law and order is not woke appropriate.

This whole NYC white supremacy thing is like they trying to pull a Jussie Smollet on the asians. Its hilarious.

As for my wife. She was the typical non political person. Did not think twice about politics, since it did not directly affect her. She thought Obama was cool, because the media and late night comedians told her so. Orange man bad, etc, etc. I make the money so she doesn't feel the direct consequences of high taxes. She was the typical low information voter that consumes drivel mass media.

However, when Cuomo locks every down with no science behind it, keeps your children away from school , drives all your favorite resutrants out of business, closes your favorite tennis courts, limits your ability to travel/vacation, etc. etc. That will slap some sense into you. She is the one that introduced the idea of moving to Florida. She has gone full red.

Here's what I've seen: older generations of Asians (so people who came from their own countries) vote Republican, while their children typically lean Democrat. I think a lot of this has to do with the older generations being business owners and Republicans are seen as business-friendly. Their kids got college degrees and usually work normal, full-time jobs, and therefore aren't affected as heavily by the narrative that Democrats hate businesses.

To be clear: as an Asian-American, I disagree so much with the things 85Dumbo has said. He sounds a lot like the false narratives that the right wants to push on the left of "wokeness" and "liberals" in order to generalize and smear an entire group of people. Really, none of these arguments were a thing pre-Donald. Guess why that is?

Republicans absolutely play identity politics. They also will not just "respect your success and achievements" because they try to pander to the poor suburbs / cities throughout America by saying Big Tech is the worst thing in the world and needs to be brought down. Both sides have their faults and are equally to blame for what America has become.

Salman Muflihi: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...crime-n1258919

Another 1 - attacker seems middle eastern or indian based upon the name.

Of course the authorities are not calling it a hate crime. This is how they underreport figures. But if it was a Black victim and any other race perpetrating it then y'all would be losing your minds and screaming in the streets. Which is good actually. The only way that Blacks have made progress in this country is through direct confrontation and endless demonstrations. Turning the other cheek and acting meek doesn't work very well. Asians can learn a thing or two from the Black community.

I actually think the number of asian attacks has been the same as the past.
In the past, it was just reported as a mugging.
But since the liberals have a white supremacy narrative to preach, they want to pull a Jussie Smollet on us, using the my fellow asians as their pawns.

Rather then focus on the real root of the problem (Cuomo/Deblasio soft on crime, monumental failure of mental health despite wasteful spending on it, etc), they want to blame Trump and White supremacy. We need to get rid of the all the roving gangs of Maga hat neo-nazis terrorizing nyc. Comical.

Like you really don't know. The whole white is better, and their inferiority complex for starters. Then there's the stereotype that some Asian men are controlling and dominating. Asian women may feel like they are liberating themselves in many ways by marrying white men.

Answer is simpler than that. They want you to sponsor their green card.

East Asians (Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, Taiwanese, etc) don't have any inferiority complex. To the contrary, they are usually very proud of their people.

And frankly, with their self-hating craziness this past year, white Americans have become a laughing stock. This isn't exactly attractive.
