It literally doesn't matter why. You don't own the property and no level of government in the United States was every supposed to have the power to take one person's property to turn it over to another.
Bingo!!!!

HOWEVER, in this crazy, "freaking liberal land" that we now live in, the starry eyed government has seen to it that the tenant has more rights than the landlord, so situations like this are becoming more prevalent. Yes, it's VERY unfortunate that given the Covid crisis, many people have lost their jobs, but that doesn't mean that their landlords are supposed to pick up the slack, and provide support for virtual strangers, and potentially go broke in the process.

You guys are under the false pretense that anybody owns anything. Don't pay property taxes and see what happens. Dont pay car registration after the car is paid off, see what happens. Like, how have you all been lied to, to this extent?? Just stop it. Let's stop it. I don't care if people "think" they own their house, it's all a scam. Lie to yourself to sleep good at night. Nobody owns ANYTHING.

Even if your view on ownership had some merit, why inject a third person into the mix who gets to pay nothing at all? Screw that. What I'm "borrowing from the government" is mine.

Capitalism at work, haves and have nots. You wouldn't trade what you "have" now for the pissy elevator so why bother looking at them

I never really did (outside of work), but now it is spreading, FAST, because our laws are being engineered to facilitate degeneracy. So now I look at it to laugh.

The results were inevitable, and people like me were laughed at for pointing it out very early in the game. We've reached the point now where the effects can finally no longer be denied, so now, I laugh.

It is what it is. In a week I'll be chilling in a huge backyard in NJ, with hunt-able woods behind me, far from all this crap. Much easier to laugh as soon as I am in that scenario.

You are right but at the same time you overlook one thing. Because of how the socialist Democrats want to “redistribute wealth†via taxation, you are less of a owner under their rule than if you were taxed less in places not under their rule.

I feel bad for the landlord and that her hands are kind of tied in this situation. It's great that there are programs to help people not get evicted but unfortunately there are the small percentage who are going to take advantage of them
This exactly. There are people who took full advantage of all the recent benefits. In NY it takes an act of God to get a tenant out as it is. The renter in this story clearly does not care about paying for housing. The car she got says it all.

I wish I had money lol. It just goes further in NJ. The huge house I bought was $100 (as in one hundred exactly) less than my tiny townhouse.

If you break the law, you might go to jail. Doesn't mean that you don't have freedom. We don't live in an anarchist state.
