Their bathtub?
Not fouling up my fresh air or getting my kids high cos they happen to be playing ball in the same park. Not stinking up my clothes cos I happen to be stuck walking behind a couple stoners.

This will definitely be a thing.

I wonder how employers will handle it.

Some people drive company vehicles and operate heavy equipment, some work with the public (doctors and nurses - that should be interesting).
A very large BigLaw firm on 52nd and Lexington. I was always amazed they kept their jobs but the mail guy who would get drunk during the same lunch hour lost his!

I think he will regret making it legal to smoke in the streets.
The same people who don't want their furniture and clothing smelling of tobacco, and thus step outside for a smoke, will take their marijuana breaks outside.
Smoke is smoke, tolerable to some, obnoxious to some. Personally I prefer the smell of weed to the smell of fireplaces ablaze with burning logs in a chi-chi neighborhood in December.

They can't smoke in the park, any more than tobacco smokers can, but there are always those who don't follow those rules.

I read that the only way to legally get weed now is to go to the doc to get a medical card. They are actually recommending that. The dispensaries won't open for recreational uses until this time next year.

And you can't grow recreationally until six months if something, and 18 months if something else (can't recall details).

You have to wonder how this new huge demand is going to affect cartels.

And cartel sold pot is sprayed with chemicals, but people who've been buying it on the street have already been affected by that. Now large numbers of people will be affected by pesticide sprayed pot.

Perhaps you can apply for a job with them and find out.

If everyone has been buying it on the streets then everyone is used to it being sold with pesticide.
Sure some people use it for health issues but if you the the majority of people who get high in this city, do it for wanting to be high.

It's been legal in California since 2016. Ask someone there.

Ask someone what?

And you're wrong about the date.

Recreational use of Cannabis was not legal in California until 2018.
