Walk Score - Helping homebuyers, renters, and real estate agents find houses and apartments in great neighborhoods.

My Bronx neighborhood scored a 83/100.

I don't feel it's accurate.....should be 95+......but oh well

How does your neighborhood fare?

My neighborhood received an 86. Too bad people would turn around and stare at me funny if I walked into some of the stores it listed lol...

My area of Mott Haven scored an 88! Not bad...I would agree with that..although the stuff I really want is not in walking distance..but the basics are...so I would say 88 is fair/reasonable.

Great post though.

Woot, I got a 100/100. Washington Heights is awesome! I wish I could afford to buy a home here. I'll be so sad to leave.

I wuld think all of Manhattan gets at least 99/100...if Manhattan is not walkable...there are not walkable areas in this country.

I got an 85 (Bedford Park), which I think should be higher. I put in addresses a couple of blocks away either direction and noticed that the score changed quite a bit (by as much as 7 points). Under grocery stores, some listings are for bodegas, and some other things are missing. Under parks, the Botanical Gardens isn't even listed.

Botanical Gardens is not a park....you have to pay to enter...it is cultural venue or exhibit.

69 in my neighborhood of Eastchester.

Not a big surprise.

Very true. It takes me 10 minutes to walk to Dyre station. And I have to use Peapod b/c both the area supermarkets are not very close (one at 233/Baychester, the other at Boston/Dyre) and not very good.
