Despite deBlasio's efforts to make it difficult for Staten Islanders to receive the vaccine, SI has the
2nd highest vaccination rate after Manhattan. I live on SI but chose to take the vaccine at NYU Langone in lower Manhattan. NYUL is my doctor's network and I trust them more than any city-run operation or even local pharmacies. Many Staten Islanders are doing the same, using their doctor's network to receive the vaccines.
First dose rates:
Manhattan 40% vaccination rate
Staten Island 37% vaccination rate
Queens 34% vaccination rate
Brooklyn 29% vaccination rate
Bronx 28% vaccination rate
Fully vaccinated rates:
Manhattan 25% vaccination rate
Staten Island 22% vaccination rate
Queens 19% vaccination rate
Bronx 18% vaccination rate
Brooklyn 16% vaccination rate
